You have arrived at the website of CrimeWriters Queensland.
What is our background?
Between 1997 and 2008, members of the Brisbane-based group CrimeWriters
Queensland wrote and published seven anthologies of short crime stories set in
Queensland, bringing some 40 new
Queensland authors into print. Some of our published stories were compiled onto audio tape, and others reproduced in pamphlet form in our Tripping Yarns series. Our publishing program ended in 2008, along with our regular working meetings and formal membership of the group.

What are we doing now?
CrimeWriters
Queensland receives regular requests for our published authors to offer:
We are always pleased to respond to these requests.
Our authors are a close-knit group and some of us meet every quarter, at the River Cafe beside the Gallery of Modern Art. We discuss our work-in- progress, opportunities for authors and great (or otherwise!) reading in the world of crime. Other writers are welcome to join us for these informal discussions. In 2010, the dates and times of our meetings are:
-
Sunday 17 January 2010 at 10am
-
Sunday 18 April 2010 at 10am.
